Bryant Park is undergoing a transformation.
Groundbreaking on the reimagined Bryant Park took place in August 2024 and major construction began in September 2024. During the project, the park is closed. When complete in 2025, the newly reimagined park will feature a variety of improvements and new amenities that resulted from an extensive community engagement process, including (but not limited to):
- Bloomington's first fully accessible playground, which will be located closer to parking for improved access while also being further removed from water.
- A new park shelter building centrally located with four-sided access and better connectivity to surrounding activities.
- Skate spot moved to former playground location.
- Retention of two tennis courts.
- Parking lot shifted south with improved circulation.
