    • Live music from Banda la Escandaloza Michoacana, Los Parranderos, Jacky Saldivar, Katrina Romero, Travieso del Rancho and Miguel Angel Fernandez.

Use an adjustable beam drill to bore holes and make long wood shavings to take home during this free event. 

Watch frontier woodworker Fred Livesay demonstrate 19th century building techniques including making mortices and tenons and other joints. 

Then build a kid-sized log cabin! You’ll assemble notched timbers to create a 4’ high frontier home. Can you figure out where each log goes? 

Learn from Miles Jewell, a frontier building expert, about the ingenious joinery that was used to lock the log corners together. 

Free program for all ages. No registration required. Drop in any time during the three-hour event.  All materials provided.

  • Live music 4:30 - 6 p.m. from The Tuxedo Band, the Twin Cities' longest-running cover band of classic and contemporary rock, pop and country music.
  • Buy dinner from the California Dip & Eat food truck.
  • Frozen treats from the Icicle Tricycle.
  • Games and activities in the park next to Creekside.

  • Get flu shots and helpful information and resources from the Bloomington Public Health Mobile Health Hub.
    • Flu shots available until 5:30 p.m.  
    • Bring your insurance card if you have one. No one will be turned away for not having insurance.

Youth and adults alike will enjoy this fall program on Tuesdays in October at the beautiful Marsh Lake Archery Range. Friendly competition is encouraged!
