Fire Hydrants are critical in fire operations. Our fire engines can only hold 750 gallons of water, which lasts about two minutes on the fire ground. Keeping fire hydrants maintained is essential for fire and life safety. Please call the utilities division at 952-563-4905 if you notice any damage or leaks to a hydrant.
Please help us keep fire hydrants clear and open. We need a wide and clear path from the street to the hydrant and a minimum 3 feet around the hydrant for fire operations. The easiest way to maintain it is to clear around the hydrant every time you shovel or plow your driveway.
