Do you know someone or an organization that works to ensure the people of Bloomington have equal opportunities in employment, housing, public accommodations, public services and education? Celebrate their contributions to our community by nominating them for the 2024 Omar Bonderud Award. The deadline for nominations is August 31.

Human rights champions recognize that peace and progress need thought and action. Since 1974, Bloomington’s Human Rights Commission has recognized 41 local people and organizations in Bloomington with the Omar Bonderud Award. Each, in a significant way, changed our city.
