Temporary changes in flight patterns and aircraft activity are occurring while MSP Airport is under construction.

Two runways are closed through late September for pavement work. Flights normally using these runways have been reassigned by the Federal Airport Association based on wind direction, safety, efficiency and a priority Runway Use System.

As a result, there are more southbound departures from Runway 17 and more northbound arrivals on Runway 35. Bloomington residents on the east side will likely experience more aircraft noise due to this temporary rerouting.

To make an aircraft noise complaint, contact the Minneapolis Airport Commission’s Community Relations Office’s 24-hour hotline at 612-726-9411 or customers.macnoms.com/customers/.
