Series Preferences

Please indicate the Arts in the Parks Performance Series at which you are interested in performing. Check all that apply. 

Wake up to Mondays at Moir and Valley View parks. Bring your family and friends alternating weeks at these two popular locations throughout the summer to enjoy music, dancing, magic, storytelling and much more! The fun begins at 10:30 a.m. and each show lasts approximately one hour.
The sounds of summer echo throughout the Normandale Lake Bandshell area on select Tuesdays in the summer when some of Bloomington’s best music and dance takes the stage. Shows begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
Midweek Music & Market offers top notch music, a mini farmers market, a beer garden, lawn games, and up to seven food trucks, making it one of the largest weekly food truck events in the area! It's everything you need to enjoy your Wednesday evenings in July and August in the Bloomington Civic Plaza east lot. Market, food and beer sales open 5-8 p.m., music performances begin at 5:30 p.m.
The Thursday Blockbusters Series is part of our Evening Performance Series at Normandale Lake Bandshell. Throughout the summer we host some of the best entertainment in the Twin Cities as well as food vendors to handle your dinner plans. Food and beer service opens at 6:30 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m.
Sunday Funday offers free, family-friendly live entertainment. This series is sure to be a fun way to spend summer afternoons in Bloomington. Events take place 4 - 6:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at locations throughout the city. Look for a show at a neighborhood park near you.
Summer Fete, Kites and Bites, additional music festivals, etc.

OVERVIEW, POLICY AND INSTRUCTIONS

The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department welcomes bands, groups, musical acts and other live entertainers to perform at events taking place during the summer Arts in the Parks series.

Arts in the Parks/Special Events performers are chosen at the sole discretion of City staff. All dates will be scheduled in advance and confirmed with performers. Performers will be required to sign a contract with the City and must provide a minumum of 24 hours notice of inability to show for an event. No call-no shows are subject to losing future performing opportunities. 

All events are held outdoors and typically occur rain or shine. Cancellation/postponement of events may be done by City staff in accordance with City emergency preparedness guidelines.
