Lifelong Bloomington resident Melanie Hallal has worked for the City since graduating from college 13 years ago. As a registered dietitian with a bachelor of science degree in dietetics, Hallal is grateful to be able to work and make an impact in the community she grew up in.

“My ultimate goal is for families I meet with to leave feeling proud, inspired and encouraged,” Hallal said.

Hallal is married to Dana, and together their family includes four children: Bode, Benjamin, Blake and Ava, and a German Shepherd husky mix named Jasmine. When she is not serving clients, Hallal enjoys adventures with her family, watching her children play hockey and soccer, dancing, cooking and staying active.

Hallal’s health advice: Simple changes and healthy habits lead to big health impacts over time!
