On Saturday, March 16, 2024 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Bloomington Officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 8200 block of Park Avenue, Near Dar Al-Farooq Center. Officers arrived and observed several vehicles leaving the area. Contact was made with people both inside and outside of the building. It was determined gunshots had been fired in the parking lot. It was reported the suspects had fled the scene. There were not any injured persons located at the scene.
Witnesses on site stated a verbal altercation started between several individuals inside of a restroom. Multiple people were asked to leave the premises and were escorted out to the parking lot. Shortly after the individuals left the building several gunshots were heard in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they located shell casings in the parking lot. No suspects or injured parties were located. Hennepin County Crime Lab assisted at the scene.
