Join a naturalist from Nature Enthusiations to search for creatures that live in and around the pond at Smith Park.

  • Use tools like nets, cups, and field guides to search for ‘marshians’.
  • Play marsh bingo.
  • Discover how ponds are helpful, why marshes and other wetlands are so important, and the differences between them.

This is a free, drop-in program. Meet the naturalist 1 - 2:30 p.m. by the dock on the south side of the park near Chicago Avenue and 83rd Street.

  • No registration required.
  • Limit 12 participants at a time, taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Program takes place around water. Please follow all established safety protocols and participate at your own risk.  Nature Enthusiations and the City of Bloomington are not liable.
