Our dreams hold our fears, inspire and guide our creative impulses and our trajectories. In this generative workshop led by writer, artist & educator Rupa Shenoy-Thadhani, participants are invited to create poetry that speaks to their dreams. What do we dream of and wish for in Bloomington? What are the languages in which we imagine Bloomington? Through freewriting exercises and close readings of other poems participants will delve into the emotions, images and languages to create art and poetry. This is a two-hour workshop that invites participants to explore their dreams and creativity in their own language(s). No prior experience in poetry is required. All levels are welcome to participate. At the end of the workshop, participants are invited to share their writing.
Parking is available onsite. Make your way to our main entrance on the west side of the building. There is directional signage to lead you there and a Works Museum sign above the door.

Nuestros sueños contienen nuestros miedos, inspiran y guían nuestros impulsos creativos y nuestras trayectorias vitales. En este taller de escritura dirigido por la escritora, artista y educadora Rupa Shenoy-Thadhani, se invita a los participantes a crear poesía que explore sus sueños. ¿Cuáles son nuestros sueños en esta ciudad? ¿Cuál es el lenguaje en el que imaginamos Bloomington? A través de ejercicios de escritura y lecturas de otros poemas, los participantes reflexionarán sobre las emociones, imágenes y lenguajes en los que se crean el arte y la poesía de los sueños. Este taller de dos horas invita a los participantes a explorar sus sueños y creatividad en su propio idioma. No se necesita experiencia previa en poesía o Ingles. Todos son bienvenidos. Al final del taller, se invita a los participantes a compartir su poema con el público presente.
