The City of Bloomington is soliciting public comments on its corrected Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2024 Annual Action Plan (Plan) prior to submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD notified the City on June 26, 2024 that its Plan needed corrections to get final approval. Notice is hereby given that the Housing & Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Bloomington (HRA) will, at a regular meeting of the HRA to be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., conduct a public hearing to consider the corrected Plan; and that the City Council will, at a regular meeting of the City Council to be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., conduct a public hearing to consider the corrected Plan. The hearings will be held in the Council Chambers of Civic Plaza, located at 1800 West Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington. A copy of the detailed budget and corrected Plan is available in the HRA offices between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until the day of closing of the public comment period. Public Comment Period and Process
Using the Citizen Participation Process, the corrected Plan is available for a 30-day public review and comment period from August 30, 2024, through October 2, 2024. Written comments will be accepted through October 2, 2024, and will be included in the documents submitted to HUD. Submit comments by email, mail, or in-person to: HRA@bloomingtonmn.gov, City of Bloomington Housing and Redevelopment Authority, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, MN 55431.
