Use an adjustable beam drill to bore holes and make long wood shavings to take home during this free event.

Watch frontier woodworker Fred Livesay demonstrate 19th century building techniques including making mortices and tenons and other joints.

Then build a kid-sized log cabin! You’ll assemble notched timbers to create a 4’ high frontier home. Can you figure out where each log goes?

Learn from Miles Jewell, a frontier building expert, about the ingenious joinery that was used to lock the log corners together.

Free program for all ages. No registration required. Drop in any time during the three-hour event.  All materials provided.
