The City of Bloomington discontinued its Large Building Benchmarking program to make way for the new statewide Large Building Benchmarking program launching in 2025.

An ordinance amending Chapters 1 and 10 of the City Code relating to the establishment of building energy benchmarking, enforcement, and administrative offenses, to rescind building energy benchmarking and enforcement procedures in favor of Minnesota’s energy benchmarking statute, Minn. Stat. § 216C.331 (2024). The specific title of the ordinance enacted was: “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 1 AND 10 OF CITY CODE THEREBY RESCINDING ENERGY BENCHMARKING AND ENFORCEMENT AND VIOLATION PROCEDURES”.
