As part of the environmental assessment, the FAA is scheduling virtual open house meetings for the public on August 14, 1-3 p.m., and August 15, 6-8 p.m., to share information about upgrading from a ground-based beacon and radar system to satellite technology including area navigation system referred to as RNAV.

For more details on RNAV at MSP, visit metroairports.org/community-connection/rnav.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission’s Community Relations Office and the Noise Oversight Committee also sponsors quarterly listening sessions for residents to receive updates on the MSP activities. Attendees are briefed on MSP operational levels and procedures and invited to share comments and voice concerns on aircraft noise issues.
